Personal Statement
I have personally experienced the benefits of counseling having dealt with fear, trauma, and a loss in my own family. I have come to realize that recovery is a process and is best approached from a holistic perspective. I has a strong passion for what I do. My goal is to provide a warm, compassionate and caring environment and believe everyone deserve to become the person they want to be and experience life to its fullest. I utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, Motivational Interviewing, EMDR, and other techniques to help people move past hurt and into their healing.
Background and Experience
Maryclaire "Claire" is a Licensed Professional Counselor. Claire works with adults, couples and families. Claire has worked in a psychiatric hospital. Claire has also worked in addiction recovery rehab centers. Most of Claire's experience are in the areas of addiction, co-occurring disorders, abuse, trauma, mental health disorders, depression, anxiety, family issues, domestic violence issues, grief, anger, PTSD and domestic violence. Claire uses an eclectic approach to meet the specific need of each individual.
Education and Training
Claire earned a Bachelors of Arts in General Psychology from Argosy University in Phoenix, Arizona and obtained a Masters of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Argosy University in Dallas, Texas. Claire has gained her clinical experience working in a residential treatment facility and psychiatric hospital by providing therapy for young adults, adults, couples, and families.
